Welcome to TissueCon 2019!
Are you ready for North America’s only technical and market-focused tissue event this year?
This October, TAPPI and Fastmarkets RISI join together once again to offer tissue makers the only industry-focused event featuring both technical and market/business outlook content. Add to that exhibits from some of Tissue’s best known and most respected suppliers and you have the makings of 2019’s “must attend” event.
Call For Presentations Announced
Do you have operational techniques and/or process improvements that aided production, saved costs, or improved efficiencies? Have you made documented changes that can help advance the tissue industry and which can be shared in a non-competitive environment? Or, perhaps you are an industry supplier who wants to share – in a non-commercial format – new innovations, equipment or techniques which can help mills be more efficient, improve safety, control costs, and apply new technologies and materials.
If so, be sure to visit our Call for Presentations page to learn more about topics and submission guidelines. Abstracts are due April 30, 2019.
Looking Back on Tissue 2018
More than 200 people were onsite at Fox Cities Exhibition Center in Appleton, WI to attend Tissue 2018. Tissue professionals across the entire supply chain networked, learned, and shared ideas over the four day conference.
Held in the heart of tissue country, Tissue 2018 attracted attendees from around the world for a series of events, sessions, and technical and economic information.
Kimberly-Clark Vice President of Research & Engineering, Katja Lerner, gave the keynote presentation "The World of Tissue in a Changing Environment" on the challenges associated with sustainability and environmental issues. Additional experts such as Esko Uutela, Patrick Cavanagh, and Nicholas Mockett reported on the economic outlook of the tissue industry.
Interesting, in-depth tours were provided by suppliers CR Meyer, Fabio Perini and the tissue testing company SGS-IPS Testing.
A number of important Committee meetings were also held onsite to help update members and share new information:
Many social events included the evening receptions, a craft beer tasting sponsored by Fabio Perini, Paper Hall of Fame Induction Dinner, and numerous networking opportunities.
We enjoyed Tissue 2018 and hope that you did too! … Didn’t attend? Here’s just a sampling of what you missed …
